Started in January, 2017, Rise Up To Action is a Bay Area-based activist group dedicated to progressive politics and working to save and expand our democracy. Over the years, we have educated ourselves by inviting frontline groups to share their work and strategies for change; we have sent hundreds of thousands of postcards for key races and issues, gathering in homes, cafes, and breweries; we take road trips to canvass door to door. We phone bank and text bank for candidates and ballot measures. We publish an action digest, host a book group, and have affinity groups for activism in key areas such as immigration support. We believe that activism is more satisfying and sustainable when we do it together and we manifest that in our work. We invite you to join us.
